The largest if the Aran Islands is Inishmore (Inis Mór). It is also one of the most popular tourist destinations along Ireland’s western coast. It is steeped in history with over 50 different monuments of Christian, pre Christian and Celtic heritage. Inis Mór has plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, fast food outlet and food and craft shops. Ferries depart and return from Rossaveal Pier and Galway Harbour daily. Why not rent a bike on the island and spend the day exploring all it has to offer?
