Knockillaree Riding Centre is a family run horse riding centre offering pony trekking, horse riding lessons, jumping lessons, therapeutic riding coaching, livery, breaking & training and stud services. We are open for business seven days a week, all year round!
We are located in Oughterard – the gateway to Connemara and only 25 minutes from Galway City! Our Centre is located on the Rusheeney road, just outside Oughterard village, and is nestled between beautiful hills, mountains and the shores of Lough Corrib. We are a family run business with a with a genuine love for horses and ponies.
We offer Pony trekking to individual or group riders of all ages and abilities on extensive trails from one hour up to seven hours. Our treks will take you through scenic woodlands on the shores of Lough Corrib, or up into the mountains for breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside.
