Relax and enjoy the peace, tranquility and closeness to nature of Letterfack Bay in beautiful Connemara on our One Hour Scenic and Wildlife Nature Tours on our glass-bottom boat.
The glass-bottom boat is purpose-built to the highest safety standards & certified by the Department of Transport to operate on one of Europe’s most scenic and well protected harbours, you will be guaranteed a trip packed full of fun, enjoyment and information. Our boat has Under-Water Viewing Panels so you can discover a world beneath the surface that looks like a different planet with it’s forests of sea weeds and kelp.
See and feel the excitement when children and the young at heart get to hold and touch a real starfish, shrimp or shore crab!
Get to see and handle real live shellfish and learn about the different species – where they live, what they eat and how long they live.
Part 2 of the Letterfrack Sea Safari Boat Tour, is a visit to the Oceans Alive “Story of the Sea” Visitor Centre with over 200 exhibits, where you will be offered a complementary hot cup of tea, coffee, & juices for the children, with seating inside & outside where you can enjoy the peace-tranquility. The Visitor Centre is located along the Sea front of Derryinver Bay just 7 minutes drive from Letterfrack Pier. Tickets and booking office also located at the Visitor Centre.
Ticket prices:
Boat trip & visit to centre & complimentary drink – €20 per adult, Family ticket €50 (2adults & 2 children. Additional children extra) Infants/ toddlers free.
Opening Hours/Months: Open year round 10.30am.
Boat tours leave from Letterfrack or Derryinver pier depending on tides. Boat times also vary. Please call for sailing times.
