Carna Bay Hotel is owned and managed by the Rogers Family and has recently been extensively refurbished and upgraded in March 2020. Kabo Café is a family run café by sisters Rosaleen and Aisling. Located in Letterfrack village, less than 5 minutes walk to Connemara National Park, Kabo Café is a small café that offers simple but great tasting, locally sourced food, delicious barista coffee, homemade cakes and treats and 100% Irish gifts available in our Síopa Kabo section. We also try our best to provide vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. We believe in reducing our carbon footprint and when possible we try to provide environmentally friendly and compostable packaging.

Bus Éireann services run from Galway through Connemara and onto Clifden followed by Westport. They offer both a longer, more scenic route and a faster direct trip to various locations on their list. Citylink bus service also links directly up with the ferry running to Inishbofin Island and also Connemara National Park. Citylink has wifi onboard their busses and also has toilet facilities. Food is hugely important to us here. Our menu was created with two core values in mind; to use fresh seasonal locally sourced produce and to satisfy each customer with hearty, tasty, home cooked dishes. Even with fresh, modern twists, the menu retains the old favourites such as Fish & Chips and Fish Chowder as well as some exciting Lunch/Evening Specials. However, although Seafood is our speciality, our talented kitchen team can rustle up tasty alternatives such as Connemara Lamb dishes,  Beef  to produce the finest menu in a coastal yet mountainous area. All in all, The Ravi’s Bar & Restaurant is a great meeting point to enjoy some fresh Cocktails, a memorable locally crafted beer with some close friends alongside the beautiful view the Clifden harbour.

Explore the history of this 200-year-old town with local historian Kathleen Villiers-Tuthill. Hear stories of famine, war, religious conflict, street riots and political rallies in the ‘Capital of Connemara’. Kathleen is the author of several books on the history of west County Galway and has a wealth of knowledge about the history and heritage of her native Clifden. No need to book, simply turn up. Tours run every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from 22nd June to 23rd September (Excluding Saturday 18th September).
