Silverstrand beach at Barna, Co. Galway is a a safe, shallow, sandy beach of approximately 0.25km. It is banded on one side by a rocky area and by a cliff on the other. The beach is popular with and suitable for young families. It faces directly into Galway Bay giving spectacular views out on to the Atlantic. Parking is available along the promenade. The sandy beach is safe for swimming at low tide but the beach is mostly covered at high tide time.
