Sruffaunboy Nature Trail (1.5km) is located in Connemara National park and is just one of the trail walks available within the parklands. The trail begins near the park’s Visitor Centre and is well way-marked with signs detailing the route. Follow the track by climbing the surfaced path – the higher you climb, the more amazing the wiews become. You will see wonderful views of Ballinakill Harbour and Tully Mountain. Diamond Hill stands majestic above the trail. You will see an array of colorful flora such as yellow gorse and purple heather. Keep an eye out for the Park’s pure bred Connemara Ponies too. Deer and wild goats are a familiar sight along this trail too. At about the half-way mark, the trail begins to descend back towards the Visitor Centre.
