About the Awards
These awards are run first at a local level. With the help of Bank of Ireland this is the first year the JCI Awards expanded out of the city into the county and the judges made secret visits to all of the entrants. In Galway (Galway West and Galway City) the awards were presented at ‘Startlab’ – Eyre Square on 11th of September 2017 by JCI Galway. The major award categories are Community Impact, Customer Care, Digital Experience, Disability Access, Eco-Friendliness and Shop Layout and Design. Each JCI Branch (including Galway) puts forward a short list of local winners to be considered for JCI Ireland National Friendly Business Awards, which will take place at the JCI Ireland National Convention. There is a Public Vote & a judging panel for the National Friendly Business Awards. The National Awards Ceremony takes place during the National JCI Ireland Conference from the 13th to the 15th of October 2017. This year the conference will be hosted by JCI Cork.
